Jarrow Formulas Pantethine is a derivative of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and a precursor in the formation of coenzyme A (CoA), an essential cofactor for lipid, carbohydrate, and protein metabolism. In cells, CoA is essential for fatty acid transport and fatty acid metabolism. Pantethine also helps to support normal healthy lipid metabolism.
